The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manuel Gumaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Honorio Tulio made a huge save. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cholo Racing Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicolas Modestio was slow to take the kick. During this time Gowlan AFC's players had a chance to rest. Nicolas Modestio made a great header on Gowlan AFC's corner, it was just that Cholo Racing Club's Honorio Tulio managed to reach the ball for a save. Honorio Tulio stood somewhat misplaced when Norberto Ezkerra came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 5 minute. Manuel Gumaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Honorio Tulio managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Gowlan AFC's Manuel Gumaro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Cholo Racing Club's zone, Norberto Ezkerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Tulio came out of the goal and Norberto Ezkerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabby Aguero in the 17th minute of play forced Gowlan AFC's goalkeeper Agustin Argoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Gowlan AFC booed when Cholo Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Sugar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Norberto Ezkerra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Honorio Tulio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Agustin Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabby Aguero in the 20th minute of play. Agustin Argoitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Tino, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Diego Bilintx kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Norberto Ezkerra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Honorio Tulio, 2-0. The nice shot from Manuel Gumaro in the 31stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Honorio Tulio had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Agustin Argoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Tino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gowlan AFC booed when Cholo Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Sugar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Manuel Gumaro came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Gowlan AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Gumaro couldn't finish the play. Tomas Abella kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Gabby Aguero kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Norberto Ezkerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Tulio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Gumaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Tulio having to interfere. Honorio Tulio was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Norberto Ezkerra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Norberto Ezkerra really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Tino to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Norberto Ezkerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorio Tulio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honorio Tulio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Fix in the 53rd minute of the match. Cholo Racing Club's Honorio Tulio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Ezkerra in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Cholo Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Gumaro came free, but Honorio Tulio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honorio Tulio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Gumaro in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Diego Bilintx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cholo Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gowlan AFC the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Cholo Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Bilintx to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Gowlan AFC's Nicolas Modestio tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Agustin Argoitz made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Severo Rolado sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cholo Racing Club getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Andres Hug hit a great ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Nicolas Modestio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gowlan AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Modestio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honorio Tulio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Ezkerra in the 76th minute of the match. Gabby Aguero's late challenge caught a Gowlan AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabby Aguero helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gowlan AFC booed when Cholo Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 87th match minute, Cholo Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Bilintx to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Gowlan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Tino came free, but Agustin Argoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teofilo Tino in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agustin Argoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the match, Gowlan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Tino came free, but Agustin Argoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
