Maximino Ieltxu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilano Mikolas went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the match, Deportivo Gamberro's goal looked a bit too open when Ysmael Tercero came free, but Maximino Ieltxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Deportivo Gamberro's Dario Jaunti seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dario Jaunti the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Deportivo Gamberro protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dario Jaunti had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Vikings FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavio Jerano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Ieltxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xavier Tineo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Evis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Gamberro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atilano Mikolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Deportivo Gamberro's Maximino Ieltxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Mikolas in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Vikings FC's Ysmael Tercero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maximino Ieltxu. Maximino Ieltxu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. In the 93rd minute Ysmael Tercero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Ieltxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Vikings FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportivo Gamberro throughout the match.
