Maximino Ieltxu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximino Ieltxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Rameriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Reynardo during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Arnulfo Txurio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Orti hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Arnulfo Txurio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Maximino Ieltxu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnulfo Txurio struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Maximino Ieltxu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlanta FC. Atlanta FC's Miguel Leobardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Cordaro in the 24th minute of play. Maximino Ieltxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Laskovič in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Fidel Araoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlanta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Gamberro the free kick. Deportivo Gamberro's Maximino Ieltxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Txurio in the 30th minute of play. Eustacio Rameriz scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximino Ieltxu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Deportivo Gamberro getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Erasmo Ferdinand hit a great ball. Deportivo Gamberro's Maximino Ieltxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Conrao in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Deportivo Gamberro got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Rovan. After some careless play in the Deportivo Gamberro defense, Arnulfo Txurio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximino Ieltxu. The Deportivo Gamberro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximino Ieltxu should have stopped the shot. Maximino Ieltxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Txurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Rich Osborn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maximino Ieltxu. Deportivo Gamberro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eustacio Rameriz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Michal Laskovič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Arnulfo Txurio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Deportivo Gamberro getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dario Jaunti hit a great ball. Honorato Conrao took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maximino Ieltxu. Deportivo Gamberro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arnulfo Txurio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maximino Ieltxu came out and tried to block the shot, but Arnulfo Txurio slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Arnulfo Txurio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlanta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnulfo Txurio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Ieltxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Deportivo Gamberro's Maximino Ieltxu got control of the ball when Arnulfo Txurio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Sarracino in the 83rd minute of play. Arnulfo Txurio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Maximino Ieltxu made a huge save. After some careless play in the Deportivo Gamberro defense, Arnulfo Txurio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximino Ieltxu. The Deportivo Gamberro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximino Ieltxu should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute, Erasmo Ferdinand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Atlanta FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlanta FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
