Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brakawn Horgan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Emyvale AFC's zone, Brakawn Horgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bercan Doyle came out of the goal and Brakawn Horgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tory McPaul fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emyvale AFC's protests and gave Tory McPaul a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Emyvale AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tory McPaul to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th match minute, Calluragh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendon Palmer to maneuver through the defense. Bercan Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baiste Scully, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calluragh's Brakawn Horgan got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baiste Scully struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Bercan Doyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calluragh. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brakawn Horgan in the 18th minute of play forced Emyvale AFC's goalkeeper Bercan Doyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Brakawn Horgan came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Calluragh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brakawn Horgan couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the game, Roland Dempsey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emyvale AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calluragh the free kick. The supporters of Calluragh booed when Emyvale AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Dempsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brakawn Horgan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bercan Doyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brakawn Horgan's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 29 minutes, Rooney Byrne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calluragh and the Emyvale AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Rooney Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Brakawn Horgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bercan Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Emyvale AFC's goalkeeper Bercan Doyle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Brakawn Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Lewy Todd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bercan Doyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rooney Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Tory McPaul was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 46th match minute, Emyvale AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tory McPaul to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Brakawn Horgan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bercan Doyle was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roland Dempsey was the one to do the kick off. Boynton McVictor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Roland Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Boynton McVictor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brakawn Horgan came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bercan Doyle could save by the left post. Bercan Doyle came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Calluragh's Brakawn Horgan. But to his dismay, Brakawn Horgan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bercan Doyle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brakawn Horgan in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Brenainn McSteven was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emyvale AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calluragh the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Emyvale AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brenainn McSteven to maneuver through the defense. Rooney Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Bercan Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bercan Doyle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brakawn Horgan in the 85th minute. Brakawn Horgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bercan Doyle having to interfere. In the 89th minute Brakawn Horgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bercan Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Dempsey scored 1-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boynton McVictor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bercan Doyle made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Brakawn Horgan sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Calluragh could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Emyvale AFC throughout the match.
