In the 46th match minute, Carranty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braoin Grant to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarlath Lester in the 47th minute of play forced Carranty's goalkeeper Daithi McTommy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarlath Lester stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Todd John came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Daithi McTommy could save by the left post. Carranty's Daithi McTommy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derin Tierney in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Beale McPaul notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Killmacomma's Donleavy Lester. Donleavy Lester was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carranty's Beale McPaul suffered a sore foot after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Killmacomma's Eoin McTommy got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 70 played minutes Killmacomma got a freekick which was hit by Derin Tierney. In the 72ndth minute of the game Renny McPaul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Killmacomma's Donleavy Lester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daithi McTommy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cashel Taylor in the 76th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Killmacomma's Jarlath Lester slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daithi McTommy. That made the score 4-1 after 77 minutes of play. Renny McPaul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emmet Beckett's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Daithi McTommy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Renny McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carranty's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renny McPaul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute Renny McPaul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donleavy Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donleavy Lester didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Piers Dillon went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Carranty walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
