Spectators: 7300 (Terracing: 5477, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Karl-Ove Willig took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Ove Willig in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manfred Sandström saved IF Hisingen from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Fabian Widberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. IF Hisingen's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Widberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Colin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manfred Sandström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Ove Willig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Widberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Thomas Colin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in IF Hisingen's zone, Karl-Ove Willig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfred Sandström came out of the goal and Karl-Ove Willig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th match minute, Heberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Jönsson to maneuver through the defense. If Fabian Widberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 33 minutes into the game, Fabian Widberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thomas Colin. Fabian Widberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Manfred Sandström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Ove Willig in the 37th minute of play. Klas Bergfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Sandström having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, IF Hisingen's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Bergfeldt came free, but Manfred Sandström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

With a little luck, IF Hisingen's Manfred Sandström got control of the ball when Klas Bergfeldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fabian Widberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Colin was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Klas Bergfeldts short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Manfred Sandström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 75 played minutes IF Hisingen got a freekick which was hit by Olle Björk. Manfred Sandström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Wallengren in the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Klas Bergfeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Klas Bergfeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klas Bergfeldt got free with Manfred Sandström in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The IF Hisingen manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Heberg to win.
