After 35 minutes of play, Gärsnäs BF's Timmy Ahlberg made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Colin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute, Håkan Vallgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Ove Willig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gärsnäs BF's Ivan Blomqvist managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Svante Magnusson in the 41 minute of the game. Heberg's Thomas Colin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Nyqvist in the 42nd minute of play. Thomas Colin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Hägglund in the 43rd minute of play. Håkan Vallgren hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 47 minutes, Charlie Wennerström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Heberg and the Gärsnäs BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Ove Willig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thomas Colin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ingvar Nyqvist in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Klas Bergfeldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elliott Kvick was relentless in the 70th minute of the game.
