Fabian Widberg scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Granberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. IF Hisingen's Manfred Sandström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save IF Hisingen from getting a goal against them. Manfred Sandström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Arne Nordal in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the SAIPA defense, Henry Ivarsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Granberg. The SAIPA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Granberg should have stopped the shot. When Sven-Arne Nordal came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SAIPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Arne Nordal couldn't finish the play. Melker Siggesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Widberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Samuel Granberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SAIPA booed when IF Hisingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melker Siggesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Bengt-Åke Torsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAIPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Åke Torsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfred Sandström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Widberg in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Granberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The SAIPA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. IF Hisingen were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabian Widberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manfred Sandström came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by SAIPA's Bengt-Åke Torsberg. But to his dismay, Bengt-Åke Torsberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Samuel Granberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melker Siggesson went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Fabian Widberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven-Arne Nordal hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The supporters of IF Hisingen booed when SAIPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Åke Torsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. SAIPA's Samuel Granberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. IF Hisingen played a much better game than SAIPA and deserved their victory. The SAIPA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
