Spectators: 6816 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) Ingvar Vidman made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Åmmeberg BK booed when SAIPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Arne Nordal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åmmeberg BK's Börge Eklund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Åmmeberg BK from getting a goal against them. 6 minutes in the game, Patric Grönlund fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Börge Eklund having to interfere. Börge Eklund had great luck who in the 13thth minute grab hold of the ball when Bengt-Åke Torsberg from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 16 played minutes, SAIPA's Sven-Arne Säv shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Börge Eklund came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SAIPA reached it. In the 18th minute Harry Esbjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Granberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börge Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patric Grönlund in the 22nd minute of play. Samuel Granberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Esbjörnsson in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, SAIPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Lövskog to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Ingvar Vidman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Granberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Arne Nordal got free with Börge Eklund in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dennis Gernberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 played minutes Åmmeberg BK got a freekick which was hit by Rikard Wall. After the first half Åmmeberg BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt-Åke Torsberg to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Åmmeberg BK's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Sjögren came free, but Börge Eklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Börge Eklund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bengt-Åke Torsberg went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Börge Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Josefsson in the 65th minute of play. Börge Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Sjögren in the 66th minute of play. Åmmeberg BK's Börge Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patric Grönlund in the 67th minute of play. Börge Eklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patric Grönlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Åmmeberg BK defense, Patric Grönlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Börge Eklund. The Åmmeberg BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Börge Eklund should have stopped the shot. Åmmeberg BK's Börge Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patric Grönlund in the 83rd minute of play. Ingvar Vidman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Rikard Wall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Börge Eklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Arne Nordal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Åmmeberg BK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
