The audience was convinced that Richard Hedberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herbert Brun was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The supporters of Dals Rostock IFK booed when Tanumshede FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Ekström didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Richard Hedberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Brun came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Dals Rostock IFK's Richard Hedberg. But to his dismay, Richard Hedberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 45th minute Rikard Källberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Brun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match Dals Rostock IFK got a corner. Tanumshede FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jan-Ove Hellström ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half Dals Rostock IFK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joakim Forssberg made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Esbjörn Bäckman in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herbert Brun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Richard Hedberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Brun having to interfere. Thomas Stenqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Rikard Källberg notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Tanumshede FF's Herbert Brun. Herbert Brun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 67 minutes of play, Dals Rostock IFK's Rikard Källberg made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herbert Brun was left in no man's land by his defense there! Herbert Brun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esbjörn Bäckman, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The supporters of Tanumshede FF booed when Dals Rostock IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Richard Hedberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tanumshede FF's Herbert Brun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herbert Brun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dals Rostock IFK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
