Gualterio Eleder started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Sindre Westerlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sindre Westerlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trond Bragstad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Atle Solvang hit a great ball. Trond Bragstad made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Sindre Westerlund sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans-Kristian Berg in the 17th minute of play forced Lyn Oslo 1896's goalkeeper Trond Bragstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Steve Triganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trond Bragstad was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Trond Bragstad was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Christian Brunes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Trond Bragstad successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Sindre Westerlund hit a great ball. Kenneth Knudsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Urdin in the 33rd minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Lyn Oslo 1896's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Triganza came free, but Trond Bragstad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Brunes in the 44th minute of play forced Lyn Oslo 1896's goalkeeper Trond Bragstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steve Triganza to strike the kick off in the second half. Sindre Westerlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen got control of the ball when Adrian Urdin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th match minute, AEK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans-Kristian Berg to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lyn Oslo 1896 getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Adrian Urdin hit a great ball. After 66 played minutes Lyn Oslo 1896 got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Jørstad. Sindre Westerlund scored 5-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trond Bragstad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gualterio Eleder hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Hans-Kristian Berg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trond Bragstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Eleder in the 81st minute of play. After 83 minutes of play, AEK FC's Steve Triganza made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trond Bragstad was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atle Solvang kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. AEK FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Lyn Oslo 1896 for much of the match.
