Tolga Zengin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjarne Falck in the 12th minute of the match. If Asgeir Figenschau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 44 minutes, Per Kielland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Svalstog BK and the Molde FKNorway players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Svalstog BK getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Per Kielland hit a great ball. Alexander Rakvåg didn't quite understand what happened when in the 48 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Asgeir Figenschau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tolga Zengin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Hammervold in the 52nd minute. Asgeir Figenschau struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ivar Opland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Molde FKNorway. 57 minutes into the game, Roger Hammervold was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 71 played minutes Molde FKNorway got a freekick which was hit by Dag Ringheim. Ivar Opland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asgeir Figenschau's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Molde FKNorway's Tore Meier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivar Opland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Roger Hammervold could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Tolga Zengin made a huge save. When Asgeir Figenschau, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 85 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ivar Opland was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Per Kielland hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Roger Hammervold could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Tolga Zengin made a huge save. Molde FKNorway's Tolga Zengin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Molde FKNorway from getting a goal against them. Ivar Opland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asgeir Figenschau's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Daniel Elverum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
