In the 26th play minute Bjarne Falck came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Øivind Storebø. 2-0. 29 minutes into the match, Svalstog BK's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Molnes came free, but Ivar Opland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Roger Hammervold ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Øivind Storebø was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 39th minute, Christian Molnes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frengen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The supporters of Svalstog BK booed when Frengen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morten Gunnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Roger Hammervold came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Svalstog BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Hammervold couldn't finish the play. 3-2 became the score in the 48th minute when Christian Molnes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bjarne Falck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christian Molnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ivar Opland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Torgeir Vangsnes came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Frengen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torgeir Vangsnes couldn't finish the play. Frengen's Øivind Storebø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Ødegården in the 79th minute of play. In the 90th minute Christian Molnes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Opland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torgeir Vangsnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulf-Hendrik Heim kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Frengen's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Svalstog BK had won, even though Frengen had held more of the ball.
