Storhamar Fotball's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Linus Log was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Tolga Zengin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eilert Solsvik in the 16th minute of the match. Tolga Zengin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eilert Solsvik, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Eilert Solsvik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tolga Zengin having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tore Meier in the 21st minute of play forced Storhamar Fotball's goalkeeper Erik Eiken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Eiken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Elverum in the 22nd minute of play. Erik Eiken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tore Meier, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Storhamar Fotball's Erik Eiken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Storhamar Fotball from getting a goal against them. In the 26th match minute, Storhamar Fotball was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Sandstad to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Storhamar Fotball booed when Molde FKNorway was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dag Ringheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Molde FKNorway's Tolga Zengin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eilif Sagbakken in the 32nd minute of play. Erik Eiken stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Asgeir Figenschau's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Storhamar Fotball's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Elverum came free, but Erik Eiken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jon-Erik Thoresen's late challenge caught a Molde FKNorway's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jon-Erik Thoresen helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Storhamar Fotball got a freekick which was hit by Jon-Erik Thoresen. In the 45th minute, Iver Aasberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Asgeir Figenschau made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Molde FKNorway booed when Storhamar Fotball was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivar Sandstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Molde FKNorway's supporters rose to their feet, but Asgeir Figenschau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Eiken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Asgeir Figenschau came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Molde FKNorway fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asgeir Figenschau couldn't finish the play. Erik Eiken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Elverum in the 75th minute of the match. Erik Eiken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Ringheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute Daniel Elverum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Eiken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alf-Inge Raknes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Erik Eiken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Elverum in the 90th minute of play forced Storhamar Fotball's goalkeeper Erik Eiken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Eilif Sagbakken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storhamar Fotball's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eilif Sagbakken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Molde FKNorway players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
