Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Partizán's Tamás Bodó played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dávid Tóth in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Ákos Szalontai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dávid Tóth scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tamás Bodó, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tamás Bodó took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zsolt Várdai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Partizán defense, Máté Polgár kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tamás Bodó. The Partizán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tamás Bodó should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd match minute, FC Budapest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pál Bollobás to maneuver through the defense. Pál Bollobás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute of the match Zsolt Várdai sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tamás Bodó skillfully saved the ball. Tamás Bodó was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tamás Bodó didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Máté Polgár went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The Partizán players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Budapest were winning 0-5.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flórián Zornánszky to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dávid Tóth got free with Tamás Bodó in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Partizán's Vendel Szőnyi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vendel Szőnyi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Partizán protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vendel Szőnyi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 56th minute, one of Partizán:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Partizán. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for FC Budapest. Dávid Tóth stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tamás Bodó. 0-6. After 66 played minutes FC Budapest got a freekick which was hit by Pál Bollobás. After some careless play in the Partizán defense, Máté Polgár kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tamás Bodó. The Partizán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tamás Bodó should have stopped the shot. When Máté Polgár came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the FC Budapest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Máté Polgár couldn't finish the play. Jeromos Mayer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Tamás Bodó made a huge save. Flórián Zornánszky kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Dávid Tóths short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Tamás Bodó to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 79th match minute, Partizán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kornél Berényi to maneuver through the defense. Dávid Tóth had several of the Partizán's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Tamás Bodó as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 84th minute Máté Polgár shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tamás Bodó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Budapest's Jeromos Mayer got a free kick in the 85th minute. Dávid Tokody sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Budapest played a much better game than Partizán and deserved their victory. The Partizán players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
