Fire Devils's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Eichenwies the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Fire Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Bengtsson to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Zlatko Ibrahimović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Wennersten. FC Eichenwies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zlatko Ibrahimović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 18 minutes, Florin Schwaller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Eichenwies and the Fire Devils players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Eichenwies getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Florin Schwaller hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match Samuel Giger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Wennersten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Fire Devils got a corner. FC Eichenwies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Giger ran over to the corner to take the kick. With 27 minutes on the clock, Mitja Wollstadt commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for FC Eichenwies. Ozan Koc stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Olaf Geiger. 1-1. Hugo Wennersten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Vornic in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Fire Devils got a corner. FC Eichenwies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Giger ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olaf Geiger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gus Tanner, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 42 played minutes FC Eichenwies got a freekick which was hit by Ozan Koc.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dariusz Nalaskowski was the one to do the kick off. Dariusz Nalaskowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Eichenwies's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Garson Pfäffli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hugo Wennersten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Fire Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zlatko Ibrahimović to maneuver through the defense. Massimo Beschmann struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Olaf Geiger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Eichenwies. In the 75th minute, Iosif Vornic made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Wennersten. FC Eichenwies's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Massimo Beschmann came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the FC Eichenwies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Massimo Beschmann couldn't finish the play. Hugo Wennersten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Nalaskowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fire Devils fully deserved thier win.
