After some careless play in the LFC defense, Mathis Grootaers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olliver De Maerschalckx. The LFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olliver De Maerschalckx should have stopped the shot. After 11 played minutes Wart Keldermans rounded LFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Washington Gorena scored 2-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Garry Imbereghs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wart Keldermans in the 22nd minute of play forced LFC's goalkeeper Olliver De Maerschalckx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Washington Gorena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garry Imbereghs was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. LFC's Olliver De Maerschalckx proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save LFC from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Washington Gorena to strike the kick off in the second half. Garry Imbereghs stood somewhat misplaced when Jeremy Walder came free in front of goal and shot 2-3 to the left of him in the 56 minute. Mathis Grootaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olliver De Maerschalckx having to interfere. If Wart Keldermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the game, Jacobus Elzen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Olliver De Maerschalckx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the match, De Matoekoes's goalkeeper Garry Imbereghs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremy Walder. Olliver De Maerschalckx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathis Grootaers in the 67th minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Thommy De Ruyter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LFC and the De Matoekoes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thommy De Ruyter kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see De Matoekoes's Jacobus Elzen in action when he in the 70th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Olliver De Maerschalckx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathis Grootaers in the 78th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as LFC's Kamiel Deflandre slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Garry Imbereghs. That made the score 3-4 after 80 minutes of play. In the 84th minute, LFC's Washington Gorena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Garry Imbereghs. Garry Imbereghs yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-5. De Matoekoes's Garry Imbereghs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yelle Leenknecht in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute Washington Gorena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garry Imbereghs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. LFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
