The audience thought a goal was coming when Nistor Tâlvescu got free with Mugur Zărnescu in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dacian Moromete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cazimir Mușat took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silviu Fetanu. After 95 minutes, Bogdan Isbășoiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ASU Poli Timisoara and the FC Sector 3 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ASU Poli Timisoara fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Sector 3 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
