Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) ASU Poli Timisoara's Codrin Magherescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC National's George Stejaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cazimir Mușat in the 7th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Codrin Magherescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Stejaru. FC National's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Codrin Magherescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 18 minutes, Maxim Bornescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC National's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maxim Bornescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Codrin Magherescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of George Stejaru. The goal made the score 2-0. Nistor Brătescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but George Stejaru made a huge save. George Stejaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Magherescu in the 25th minute of the match. George Stejaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cazimir Mușat, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. George Stejaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codrin Magherescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Cazimir Mușat dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of George Stejaru, 3-0. In the 36th minute, Cazimir Mușat reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of George Stejaru. The goal made the score 4-0. Nistor Brătescu kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 39thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FC National's keeper George Stejaru was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. George Stejaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codrin Magherescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, FC National's goalkeeper George Stejaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nistor Brătescu. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Codrin Magherescu sped through FC National's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of George Stejaru. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusebiu Păstrăv made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Codrin Magherescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ASU Poli Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. George Stejaru came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by ASU Poli Timisoara's Codrin Magherescu. But to his dismay, Codrin Magherescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. George Stejaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Mușat in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Codrin Magherescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Stejaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. After a rather tough play, FC National's Maxim Bornescu got a free kick in the 66th minute. George Stejaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Magherescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. George Stejaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Mușat in the 71st minute of play. George Stejaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Bărbânță in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Cazimir Mușat made a precise shot to the right of George Stejaru. FC National's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. George Stejaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Mușat in the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Brătescu in the 84th minute of play forced FC National's goalkeeper George Stejaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Stejaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Magherescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute Nistor Brătescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Stejaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, FC National's goal looked a bit too open when Cazimir Mușat came free, but George Stejaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC National's George Stejaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Magherescu in the 92nd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ASU Poli Timisoara had played much better football throughout.
