In the 4th play minute Lucrețiu Piersic came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mihăiţă Brumă. 1-0. After 12 played minutes CFR Cluj got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Zbârciog. 13 minutes into the match, CFR Cluj's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Braru came free, but Mihăiţă Brumă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucrețiu Piersic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihăiţă Brumă having to interfere. Lucrețiu Piersic scored 3-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mihăiţă Brumă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mihăiţă Brumă was a little too slow when Costin Braru got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 4-0. After 28 minutes of play, CFR Cluj's Dorel Barboni made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Oanță was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute Costin Braru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihăiţă Brumă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucrețiu Piersic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mihăiţă Brumă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorin Roşculeţ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Mihăiţă Brumă made a huge save. After 41 played minutes, CFR Cluj's Dorel Barboni shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Albert Oanță came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CFR Cluj reached it. Patricheni's Albert Oanță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moise Ştiubei in the 46th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Barboni in the 47th minute of play forced Patricheni's goalkeeper Albert Oanță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albert Oanță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moise Ştiubei in the 48th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Moise Ştiubei made the kick off in the second half. Moise Ştiubei hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When Dorel Barboni came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the CFR Cluj fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorel Barboni couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Piersic in the 60th minute of play forced CFR Cluj's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Brumă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorin Roşculeţ took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mihăiţă Brumă. Mihăiţă Brumă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Mihăiţă Brumă came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Patricheni's Lucrețiu Piersic. But to his dismay, Lucrețiu Piersic quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Mihăiţă Brumă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorin Roşculeţ went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. 74 minutes into the game, Patricheni's Moise Avădanei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihăiţă Brumă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. CFR Cluj's Mihăiţă Brumă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Braru in the 77th minute of play. Patricheni's Dorin Roşculeţ got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CFR Cluj's Mihăiţă Brumă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costin Braru in the 87th minute of play.
