CFR Cluj's Mihăiţă Brumă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by He Hong Zhen in the 37th minute of play. F.C.IZVOARELE DY-DA -BTF's Patrick Moberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mihăiţă Brumă in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mihăiţă Brumă stood somewhat misplaced when He Hong Zhen came free in front of goal and shot 9-0 to the left of him in the 43 minute. CFR Cluj's Mihăiţă Brumă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save CFR Cluj from getting a goal against them. Mihăiţă Brumă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lawrence Blewett went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moise Ştiubei to make the kick off. The CFR Cluj fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mihăiţă Brumă should have stopped the shot. Fransesco Neefs scored 17-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mihăiţă Brumă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Lawrence Blewett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihăiţă Brumă. CFR Cluj's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lawrence Blewett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 18-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
