Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jeremy Wenderickx started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute, Jeremy Wenderickx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nistor Isăilă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nistor Isăilă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Torouţ in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nae Beniuc during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nae Beniuc hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Nistor Isăilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremy Wenderickx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nae Beniuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Leontin Omescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Traian Torouţ notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Isăilă. Nistor Isăilă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the game, PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s Jeremy Wenderickx nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nistor Isăilă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Traian Torouţ in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nistor Isăilă saved Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca from getting behind. In the 27th match minute, PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Valentim to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Irinel Druga. In the 30th minute of the match Alexandru Stolniceanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nistor Isăilă showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cristinel Iurea might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leontin Omescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristinel Iurea ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Traian Torouţ's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nistor Isăilă was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 39th match minute, Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Druga to maneuver through the defense. Nistor Isăilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremy Wenderickx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Sabin Pordea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Nelson de Andrade hit a great ball. Leontin Omescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolae Enoiu in the 45th minute of play. Traian Torouţ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Isăilă having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

After 52 minutes, Jeremy Wenderickx made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Isăilă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nae Beniuc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leontin Omescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Jeremy Wenderickx did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Nistor Isăilă 58 minutes into the match. Jeremy Wenderickx's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Nistor Isăilă skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 63 minutes into the match, Traian Torouţ dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nistor Isăilă, 0-7. With splendid footwork Traian Torouţ arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-8 by the left pole in the game's 66th minute. In the 75th minute Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca were awarded a corner. Sabin Pordea went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s goalie and right to Cristinel Iurea. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Leontin Omescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Enoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nae Beniuc scored 1-8 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leontin Omescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Nicolae Enoiu came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolae Enoiu couldn't finish the play. When PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s Traian Torouţ in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's goalie prevented a goal. After 87 minutes, Jeremy Wenderickx made it 1-9 with a short kick to the right side. Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Isăilă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Traian Torouţ recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM-'s Alexandru Stolniceanu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nistor Isăilă. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremy Wenderickx in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nistor Isăilă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 98th minute, Traian Torouţ fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. PARTIZAN Baia Mare -MM- had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
