Ernest Enciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toader Oniga in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Basarab Bîlbă to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Minerul Baia Mare's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stasio Pietrowski was slow to take the kick. During this time FC ANC's players had a chance to rest. After 68 played minutes Minerul Baia Mare got a freekick which was hit by Ionică Nacu. Calistrat Pascaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Florei in the 71st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basarab Bîlbă got free with Calistrat Pascaru in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute Toader Oniga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Enciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Basarab Bîlbă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Calistrat Pascaru was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
