Takis Gonatas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikos Tournas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ilias Lilis hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When VARDA F.C.'s Aldo Serena in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Themis Papadopetrakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilias Lilis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Dhafnospiliá BC's goal looked a bit too open when Theodosis Labrakis came free, but Nikos Tournas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, VARDA F.C.'s goalkeeper Themis Papadopetrakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stavros Prasinos. A collision led to VARDA F.C. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Magnus Ekström hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Petros Kalivrousis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dhafnospiliá BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Petros Kalivrousis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Themis Papadopetrakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisão Fernandes in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikos Tournas saved Dhafnospiliá BC from getting behind. Luisão Fernandes hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, VARDA F.C.'s Themis Papadopetrakis got control of the ball when Petros Kalivrousis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisão Fernandes to make the kick off. Petros Kalivrousis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themis Papadopetrakis having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as VARDA F.C.'s Theodosis Labrakis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nikos Tournas. That made the score 0-2 after 55 minutes of play. Constantin Cartron kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Nikos Tournas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theodosis Labrakis in the 63rd minute of play. During the 64th minute of the match Owen Colbert completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Owen Colbert a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Owen Colbert kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Panos Routsis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikos Tournas skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Dhafnospiliá BC's Takis Gonatas got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match Panos Routsis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikos Tournas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nikos Tournas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Routsis in the 73rd minute of play. Dhafnospiliá BC's Nikos Tournas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Evarado in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, VARDA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexis Karagounis to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, VARDA F.C.'s Panos Routsis got a free kick in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Mariusz Poreda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dhafnospiliá BC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VARDA F.C. the free kick. Mariusz Poreda hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 83 minutes of play, VARDA F.C.'s Placido Evarado made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nikos Tournas was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Petros Kalivrousis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Luisão Fernandes made a precise shot to the right of Nikos Tournas. Dhafnospiliá BC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Themis Papadopetrakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stavros Prasinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Dhafnospiliá BC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. VARDA F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
