The supporters of NEWROZ booed when Giresun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erdeniz Tanrıverdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egídio Vilalobos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Tahsin Ekşioğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. NEWROZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Tahsin Ekşioğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aktaç Bedel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tahsin Ekşioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giresun's Aktaç Bedel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oğuzhan Parshan in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tahsin Ekşioğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aktaç Bedel was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 30th minute, Tahsin Ekşioğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Hafız Usbey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aktaç Bedel came out of the goal and Tahsin Ekşioğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tahsin Ekşioğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Aktaç Bedel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alifonso Daire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aktaç Bedel having to interfere. After some careless play in the Giresun defense, Alifonso Daire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aktaç Bedel. The Giresun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aktaç Bedel should have stopped the shot. Giresun's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Tahsin Ekşioğlu scored to the left of an out of position Aktaç Bedel, making the score, 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alifonso Daire got free with Aktaç Bedel in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tahsin Ekşioğlu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Aktaç Bedel 83 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes Giresun got a freekick which was hit by Şenel Dağtekin. Nuralp Yücesoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cem Derman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aktaç Bedel made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Tahsin Ekşioğlu sent off a good shot on target. Alifonso Daire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aktaç Bedel having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded NEWROZ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Giresun.
