Şensoy Yoruç lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Kumkapi SK a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mert Naci, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Giresun's Aktaç Bedel. 0-2. Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan scored 0-3 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aktaç Bedel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Kumkapi SK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mehmet Şefik Yoruk hit a great ball. Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aktaç Bedel having to interfere. Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hafız Usbey during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Giresun's Hafız Usbey got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Mert Naci sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aktaç Bedel skillfully saved the ball. Giresun's Aktaç Bedel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Necaettin Urandu in the 30th minute of play. Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Giresun's Cem Derman. But to his dismay, Cem Derman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Aktaç Bedel came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Kumkapi SK's Necaettin Urandu. But to his dismay, Necaettin Urandu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Kumkapi SK's Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aktaç Bedel having to interfere. After the first half Kumkapi SK were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan was the one to do the kick off. Mustafa Oğuz Tolunay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Aktaç Bedel made a huge save. Aktaç Bedel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Necaettin Urandu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Necaettin Urandu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aktaç Bedel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Cem Derman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Necaettin Urandu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Aktaç Bedel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kumkapi SK's Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Necaettin Urandu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehmet Şefik Yoruk got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Giresun booed when Kumkapi SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Şefik Yoruk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Necaettin Urandu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Aktaç Bedel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kumkapi SK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
