With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tahsin Ekşioğlu in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi saved Kumkapi SK from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tahsin Ekşioğlu in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 played minutes Kumkapi SK got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Oğuz Tolunay. 35 minutes into the game, Mehmet Şefik Yoruk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kumkapi SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NEWROZ the free kick. A collision led to Kumkapi SK getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Mehmet Şefik Yoruk hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Necaettin Urandu in the 37th minute of play forced NEWROZ's goalkeeper Nuralp Yücesoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Kumkapi SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tahsin Ekşioğlu in the 41st minute of play forced Kumkapi SK's goalkeeper Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tahsin Ekşioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi having to interfere. Alifonso Daire received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi came out and tried to block the shot, but Alifonso Daire slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tahsin Ekşioğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Egídio Vilalobos managed to get in a good position for a shot. NEWROZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Egídio Vilalobos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tahsin Ekşioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Kumkapi SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bahattin Necati to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Tahsin Ekşioğlu made a precise shot to the right of Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi. Kumkapi SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Nuralp Yücesoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Necaettin Urandu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Nuralp Yücesoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tahsin Ekşioğlu's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. If Tahsin Ekşioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nuralp Yücesoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Kutsi Taşcan in the 91st minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, one of Kumkapi SK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 99 minutes into the match, NEWROZ's Tahsin Ekşioğlu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alifonso Daire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüseyin Turan Ünverdi having to interfere.
