In the 35th minute, Felipe Maureo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mete Yaslı was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Edgar Mogren made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Cesur Akşin sent off a good shot on target. 44 minutes into the match, MeRSiN SpOr's goalkeeper Edgar Mogren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesur Akşin. Edgar Mogren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şevket Gayret in the 45th minute of play. Mete Yaslı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Maureo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Şevket Gayret was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Şevket Gayret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Mogren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by MeRSiN SpOr's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bahtiyar Tuncal was slow to take the kick. During this time Özgüzeldere's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Osman Ali Böke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Özgüzeldere's supporters rose to their feet, but Osman Ali Böke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Mogren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th match minute, Özgüzeldere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bilal Sarim to maneuver through the defense. Kandemir Kayrar, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. In the 75th minute, MeRSiN SpOr's Kandemir Kayrar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kandemir Kayrar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of MeRSiN SpOr protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kandemir Kayrar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of MeRSiN SpOr:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Özgüzeldere:s goal. Osman Ali Böke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Edgar Mogren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Mogren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şevket Gayret in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by MeRSiN SpOr's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After having played for 94 minutes, Osman Ali Böke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Özgüzeldere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osman Ali Böke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
