The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Haziq Cheng reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Shahron Teo. The goal made the score 1-0. Asiz Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zak Chong in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Rifki Dhanabalan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Singapur FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rifki Dhanabalan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asiz Lim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Zak Henderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Abbay Wood United's Lamar Choy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Shahron Teo. That made the score 2-1 after 16 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Singapur FC's İsmail Hakkı Karahan got a free kick in the 19th minute. Shahron Teo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hidayat Devan. Shahron Teo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fariz Hongyi in the 22nd minute of play. Zak Chong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asiz Lim having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zak Chong in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asiz Lim saved Abbay Wood United from getting behind. When Zak Chong came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Singapur FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zak Chong couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Rifki Dhanabalan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Singapur FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rifki Dhanabalan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamar Choy in the 58th minute of play forced Singapur FC's goalkeeper Shahron Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Abbay Wood United's Darryl Pillai got a free kick in the 64th minute. Asiz Lim made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Zak Chong sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Abbay Wood United booed when Singapur FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren Hock didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Singapur FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lamar Choy came free, but Shahron Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Amirul Hian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Singapur FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abbay Wood United the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Singapur FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Abbay Wood United:s goal. With his leg Asiz Lim managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Singapur FC's Zak Chong fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zak Chong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Asiz Lim having to make a save. Zak Chong might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Asiz Lim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zak Chong ran back to his position shaking his head. The Singapur FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Abbay Wood United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
