In the 16th minute, Kleanthis Nestoridis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Max Freeman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Cirilo Ciceron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Max Freeman was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 38th match minute, Tresco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ren Busst to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cirilo Ciceron was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Mellis defense, Wojciech Czeszejko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dan Richard. The Mellis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dan Richard should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Tresco's Max Freeman got control of the ball when Kleanthis Nestoridis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kleanthis Nestoridis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Adolfo Mcgaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Darren Gannan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dan Richard was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 94th minute Clarke Whelpton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Richard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Max Freeman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kleanthis Nestoridis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 96 minute of play. The Mellis players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
