Seating: 1886, VIP seats: 164) Max Freeman came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Melbourne 007's Brye Awage. But to his dismay, Brye Awage quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Brye Awage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Max Freeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Dante King left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Melbourne 007 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brye Awage in the 14th minute of play forced Tresco's goalkeeper Max Freeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Melbourne 007's Brye Awage nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Max Freeman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Max Freeman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brye Awage in the 19th minute of play. Max Freeman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante King, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Tresco's Max Freeman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudy Gummow in the 23rd minute of play. Cezary Rutkowski hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 28 played minutes, Melbourne 007's Abraham Convine shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Max Freeman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Melbourne 007 reached it. Ian Allan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Dante King fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Freeman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante King in the 36th minute of play forced Tresco's goalkeeper Max Freeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Wojciech Czeszejko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Broderick Ceney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Tresco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clarke Whelpton to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Dante King notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Tresco's Max Freeman. Max Freeman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 0-5 became the score in the 42nd minute when Rudy Gummow elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tresco's zone, Rudy Gummow stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Max Freeman came out of the goal and Rudy Gummow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edison Deeth made a kick off. After some careless play in the Tresco defense, Rudy Gummow kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Max Freeman. The Tresco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Max Freeman should have stopped the shot. Max Freeman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dante King in the 62nd minute. Clarke Whelpton kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Tresco's goal looked a bit too open when Brye Awage came free, but Max Freeman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudy Gummow took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Max Freeman. Max Freeman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brye Awage got free with Max Freeman in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Max Freeman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Gummow in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Abraham Convine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Melbourne 007 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. After 83 played minutes Melbourne 007 got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Convine. Bryson Willding was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rudy Gummow in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Max Freeman saved Tresco from getting behind. In the 88th minute Brye Awage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Freeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes, Rodney Devere mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melbourne 007 and the Tresco players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodney Devere kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Melbourne 007 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tresco.
