Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Cirilo Ciceron started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Kleanthis Nestoridis took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexander Baxter. Alexander Baxter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Alexander Baxter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo Linhares in the 10th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Kleanthis Nestoridis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellis's supporters rose to their feet, but Kleanthis Nestoridis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Baxter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Wodonga United getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Brennan Munday hit a great ball. Alexander Baxter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Linhares in the 14th minute of the match. Cirilo Ciceron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Alexander Baxter made a huge save. Cirilo Ciceron's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alexander Baxter firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the Wodonga United defense, Cirilo Ciceron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Baxter. The Wodonga United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Baxter should have stopped the shot. Alexander Baxter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erivaldo Linhares went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute Erivaldo Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kleanthis Nestoridis took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexander Baxter. Alexander Baxter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Alexander Baxter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo Linhares in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berkeley Loch in the 44th minute of play forced Mellis's goalkeeper Dan Richard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wodonga United's Alexander Baxter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Linhares in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute Erivaldo Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Berkeley Loch made a kick off. Alexander Baxter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erivaldo Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Wodonga United getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bradford Haskell hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berkeley Loch got free with Dan Richard in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute Kleanthis Nestoridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes, Ernest Pegrum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wodonga United and the Mellis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Ernest Pegrum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wodonga United's Alexander Baxter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kleanthis Nestoridis in the 62nd minute of play. Alexander Baxter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kleanthis Nestoridis, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the game, Mellis's Erivaldo Linhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Baxter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. In the 68th minute, Erivaldo Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Alexander Baxter. Wodonga United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. After some careless play in the Wodonga United defense, Erivaldo Linhares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Baxter. The Wodonga United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Baxter should have stopped the shot. Dan Richard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brad Colling's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute, Kleanthis Nestoridis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mellis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. Erivaldo Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Dan Richard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernest Pegrum in the 83rd minute. Alexander Baxter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Ciceron in the 86th minute of play. Dan Richard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brad Colling in the 87th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Mellis's Kleanthis Nestoridis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexander Baxter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. Mellis were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Wodonga United for a fine match.
