Ralph Mccartan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Alexander Baxter made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Mccartan in the 17th minute of play forced Wodonga United's goalkeeper Alexander Baxter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Baxter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Mccartan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brad Colling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loud Awage having to interfere. If Bradford Haskell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradshaw Lander in the 25th minute of play forced Wodonga United's goalkeeper Alexander Baxter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berkeley Loch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Berkeley Loch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wodonga United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Barth Cootes lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Barth Cootes hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Tawonga's Alexander Baxter threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bradshaw Lander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wodonga United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Danny Bower scored to the left of an out of position Alexander Baxter, making the score, 1-2. Alexander Baxter made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Art Copelin sent off a good shot on target. Bradshaw Lander received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alexander Baxter came out and tried to block the shot, but Bradshaw Lander slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 41st minute. Alexander Baxter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Mccartan in the 46th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralph Mccartan in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Baxter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tawonga's Loud Awage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradford Haskell in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bradshaw Lander to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Tawonga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Notley to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the match, Wodonga United's Ernest Pegrum broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 54th minute, Wodonga United's Bradford Haskell dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. After 56 played minutes Wodonga United got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Pegrum. In the 60th minute Bradshaw Lander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Wodonga United's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Mccartan came free, but Alexander Baxter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Baxter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradshaw Lander in the 77th minute of play. Alexander Baxter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abbott Sylvester, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Bradford Haskell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Tawonga booed when Wodonga United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Todd Brennand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Baxter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abbott Sylvester in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Wodonga United's Berkeley Loch ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Loud Awage. Loud Awage yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4. The Wodonga United players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Tawonga from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
