The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Margaret Atwood Impact's goal looked a bit too open when Tahsin Atacan came free, but Christopher Love reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Pehlivanköy's goal looked a bit too open when Timothy Watson came free, but Nihat Mesut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nihat Mesut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Dalton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Margaret Atwood Impact's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jim Mitchell in the 10th minute. Michael Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nihat Mesut having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathew Gunter in the 17th minute of play forced Pehlivanköy's goalkeeper Nihat Mesut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Margaret Atwood Impact's Christopher Love proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Margaret Atwood Impact from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stephan Appiah got free with Christopher Love in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nihat Mesut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Dalton in the 22nd minute of play. Christopher Love made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tahsin Atacan in the 28th minute of play. A hard shot 31 in the game by Stephan Appiah from a close distance when the talented Christopher Love managed to make a qualified save. Margaret Atwood Impact's players were relieved. Nihat Mesut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Dalton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Tahsin Atacan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Love saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Pehlivanköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tahsin Atacan to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Margaret Atwood Impact getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Adam Searle hit a great ball. Christopher Love didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tahsin Atacan went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jim Mitchell hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Jim Mitchell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Nihat Mesut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Hylton Brookes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Margaret Atwood Impact fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Hylton Brookes came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Margaret Atwood Impact fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hylton Brookes couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute Tahsin Atacan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Love saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chris Randall kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Tahsin Atacan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hylton Brookes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Mitchell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Nihat Mesut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nihat Mesut made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Jim Mitchell sent off a good shot on target. Stephan Appiah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christopher Love having to make a save. Stephan Appiah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Love read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Nihat Mesut made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim Mitchell in the 83rd minute. Pehlivanköy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Kyle Hay scored to the left of an out of position Nihat Mesut, making the score, 1-2. Margaret Atwood Impact's Michael Dalton got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christopher Love showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Appiah, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 92 played minutes Margaret Atwood Impact got a freekick which was hit by Timothy Watson. Kaan Aktürk's late challenge caught a Margaret Atwood Impact's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaan Aktürk helped the player get up and apologised. Kaan Aktürk hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
