Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ahmet Ali Poyraz started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Pehlivanköy's goal looked a bit too open when Sedat Perkin came free, but Halit Ziya Özkutal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pehlivanköy's zone, Ogün Kavaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halit Ziya Özkutal came out of the goal and Ogün Kavaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Ahmet Ali Poyraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pehlivanköy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Ali Poyraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taha Turan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Pehlivanköy booed when GÜMELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ogün Kavaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aşık Gezer struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Halit Ziya Özkutal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GÜMELİSPOR. After 20 played minutes Pehlivanköy got a freekick which was hit by Nuri Kaan. After 26 played minutes Pehlivanköy got a freekick which was hit by Nuri Kaan. Sedat Perkin succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Gazi Seralp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Ali Poyraz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Taha Turan made a huge save. When Ahmet Ali Poyraz came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Pehlivanköy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Ali Poyraz couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aşık Gezer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ahmet Ali Poyraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ahmet Ali Poyraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of GÜMELİSPOR booed when Pehlivanköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Ali Poyraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sedat Perkin fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GÜMELİSPOR's protests and gave Sedat Perkin a yellow card for diving instead. Sedat Perkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Halit Ziya Özkutal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pehlivanköy's Halit Ziya Özkutal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Pehlivanköy from getting a goal against them. Pehlivanköy's Halit Ziya Özkutal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aşık Gezer in the 80th minute of play. When GÜMELİSPOR's Aşık Gezer in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pehlivanköy's goalie prevented a goal. Ahmet Hacıbeyoğlu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 84 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, one of Pehlivanköy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pehlivanköy. During the 92nd minute of the match Sedat Perkin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sedat Perkin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, GÜMELİSPOR's Sedat Perkin got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ali Atıf Lebib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The GÜMELİSPOR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing GÜMELİSPOR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
