In the 10th minute Richard Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Duvert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Mark Baker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stephen Clough came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Olympique de Batjax's Hans Kielberg. But to his dismay, Hans Kielberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Olympique de Batjax's Hans Kielberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stephen Clough narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stephen Clough was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Hans Kielberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hans Kielberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ada Lovelace Engines's goalkeeper Stephen Clough, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Olympique de Batjax's corner Jordan Porte fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stephen Clough quite easily take care of the ball. After 32 minutes, Xavier Santi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olympique de Batjax and the Ada Lovelace Engines players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ada Lovelace Engines's Stephen Clough proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Ada Lovelace Engines from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ada Lovelace Engines's David Showell got a free kick in the 41st minute. Stephen Clough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Kielberg in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Auseklis Cielaviņš hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Richard Francis made the kick off in the second half. 62 minutes into the game, Mark Baker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ada Lovelace Engines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olympique de Batjax the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Hans Kielberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stephen Clough was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Stephen Clough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Kielberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stephen Clough didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hans Kielberg went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 76 minutes, Ali Darbon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympique de Batjax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Darbon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olympique de Batjax's Nicolas Duvert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Francis in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Hans Kielberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympique de Batjax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Kielberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ada Lovelace Engines's goalkeeper Stephen Clough, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute of the match, Raymond Williams got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nicolas Duvert was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Auseklis Cielaviņš in the 92nd minute of play forced Ada Lovelace Engines's goalkeeper Stephen Clough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes of play Ada Lovelace Engines's Mark Baker was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Mark Baker kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Ada Lovelace Engines's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Kielberg came free, but Stephen Clough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Olympique de Batjax fully deserved thier win.
