Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robert Garrigues started the match with the kick off. Joël Drapier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Djamel Latrille went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Robert Garrigues took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joël Drapier. Joël Drapier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 20 minutes of play, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Djamel Latrille made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joël Drapier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brian Soria made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Cyril Raveneau sent off a good shot on target. Joël Drapier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djamel Latrille in the 27th minute of the match. MONACO FC's Joël Drapier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Djamel Latrille in the 31st minute of play. After 31 played minutes MONACO FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilles Cousseau. After a rather tough play, MONACO FC's Raymond Kopa got a free kick in the 34th minute. Joël Drapier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Garrigues's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Corrêa came free, but Brian Soria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brian Soria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Corrêa in the 37th minute of the match. If Lenny Rumeau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Renaud Couteau hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Isaac Bernal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mike Delvaux was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Robert Garrigues ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joël Drapier. Joël Drapier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 73rd minute, Gilles Cousseau made a precise shot to the right of Brian Soria. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. MONACO FC made a substitution. Yvan Castanier replaced Cyril Raveneau. Brian Soria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franz Tremblay, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Brian Soria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilles Cousseau in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Benoît Bolot got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Mike Delvaux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in MONACO FC's zone, Robert Garrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joël Drapier came out of the goal and Robert Garrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Robert Garrigues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joël Drapier. That made the score 1-5 in the 94 minute of play. The Formation Pure Lyonnaise players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
