In the 15th minute, Cyril Raveneau made a precise shot to the right of Freddy Maniere. Longjumeau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Edgar Corrêa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Éric Mauduit got his second yellow card in the match during the 23rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 27 minutes into the match, Longjumeau's goalkeeper Freddy Maniere had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cyril Raveneau. Cyril Raveneau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Freddy Maniere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franz Tremblay might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddy Maniere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franz Tremblay ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 34 minutes, Cyril Raveneau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MONACO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cyril Raveneau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Longjumeau's goalkeeper Freddy Maniere, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Longjumeau defense, Clem Couzon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddy Maniere. The Longjumeau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Maniere should have stopped the shot. When Cyril Raveneau came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the MONACO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyril Raveneau couldn't finish the play. Raymond Kopa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Freddy Maniere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cyril Raveneau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Freddy Maniere made a huge save. Longjumeau's Freddy Maniere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Longjumeau from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cyril Raveneau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Longjumeau's Freddy Maniere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyril Raveneau in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Cyril Raveneau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MONACO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cyril Raveneau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Freddy Maniere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyril Raveneau in the 58th minute of the match. Bakary Bruant hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. With a little luck, MONACO FC's Joël Drapier got control of the ball when Eddy Lépicier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, MONACO FC's Mike Delvaux got a free kick in the 68th minute. Cyril Raveneau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Freddy Maniere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Freddy Maniere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyril Raveneau in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, MONACO FC's Renaud Couteau got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 81stth minute of the game Franz Tremblay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Longjumeau's Freddy Maniere was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. MONACO FC's Cyril Raveneau got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Longjumeau's goal looked a bit too open when Cyril Raveneau came free, but Freddy Maniere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Cyril Raveneau managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONACO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cyril Raveneau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Maniere breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Santucci kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
