The audience thought a goal was coming when Narcis Orescu got free with Gelu Vârnav in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Narcis Orescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gelu Vârnav having to make a save. In the 34th minute Narcis Orescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gelu Vârnav saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Crenvusti United's Dumitru Minea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicu Dragoș in the 36th minute of play. Dumitru Minea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Dragoș in the 39th minute of play. Dumitru Minea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicu Dragoș went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 46 minutes into the game, Haşim Tokyay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dumitru Minea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match was over Donaris FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Crenvusti United throughout the match.
