The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Sarracino. Camron Blain hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Aquiles Oihenarte hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Calvin Pilkington made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Salvatore. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Melquiades Salvatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Hill in the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Dwyer in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Salvatore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Melquiades Salvatore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Dwyer went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Aquiles Oihenarte kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvin Pilkington in the 30th minute of play. Melquiades Salvatore came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Heavenly Hooters's Martin Dwyer. But to his dismay, Martin Dwyer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 36 minutes into the game, Martin Dwyer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Melquiades Salvatore was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. During the 39th minute of the match Aquiles Oihenarte completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aquiles Oihenarte a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 39th minute, Aquiles Oihenarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute Martin Dwyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Salvatore was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lennie Reynolds showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Sarracino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Severino Rojelio got a free kick in the 65th minute. Heavenly Hooters made a substitution. Gwyn Bridgeman replaced Barry Lowe. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Martin Dwyer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heavenly Hooters's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Dwyer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Salvatore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, Heavenly Hooters's Calvin Pilkington nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Salvatore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Pilkington in the 72nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Melquiades Salvatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Donato Nalo. In the 75th minute, Martin Dwyer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Atlanta's goalie prevented a goal. Heavenly Hooters walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
