After a defensive mix-up in Galati Harbour Cats's zone, Fiori Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudiu Slavici came out of the goal and Fiori Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Guilherme Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Galati Harbour Cats's Lucian Dărăscu got a free kick in the 21st minute. Vintilă Mihuț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu de Brito having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valeriu Gherasescu in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu de Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the 20 DE SETEMBRO defense, Valeriu Gherasescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeu de Brito. The 20 DE SETEMBRO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu de Brito should have stopped the shot. When Ion Bulencea fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galati Harbour Cats's protests and gave Ion Bulencea a yellow card for diving instead. Luiz Guilherme Cordeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudiu Slavici having to make a save. 43 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Luiz Guilherme Cordeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudiu Slavici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Lago came free, but Claudiu Slavici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu de Brito was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valeriu Gherasescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Valeriu Gherasescu made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Fiori Lago dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claudiu Slavici, 3-1. 59 minutes into the game, Fiori Lago recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Claudiu Slavici. Fiori Lago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Ciprian Miu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Teodoro de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the 20 DE SETEMBRO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Vintilă Mihuț struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Amadeu de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galati Harbour Cats. Valeriu Gherasescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Fiori Lago dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. Fiori Lago charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fiori Lago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Galati Harbour Cats fully deserved thier win.
