Max Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With 35 minutes on the clock, Willie Vogt commited a dangerous tackle. Los Gallos's Guido Luar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by C.J. Samuels in the 43rd minute of play. Max Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Hartz in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and C.J. Samuels made a kick off. Max Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Rodriguez in the 60th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guaberto Mitxaut during the 62nd minute. Max Pena came out of the goal and Lucio Hartz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jim Patton struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Guido Luar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Miami Futbol Club. C.J. Samuels hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Silverio Bertran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. In the 92nd minute, Silverio Bertran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Max Pena was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Through a series of nice moves, Los Gallos's Eustaquio Rodriguez on his own came free in the 96th minute of the match and shot 0-6 behind a disappointed Max Pena.
