In the 9th match minute, AD Pontassolense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amável Bettencourt to maneuver through the defense. When Los Gallos's Lei Yan Zhan in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Silverio Matthew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Viveiros having to interfere. Lei Yan Zhan scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juvenal Viveiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the game, Silverio Matthew was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Pontassolense's Juvenal Viveiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save AD Pontassolense from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herberto Meireles in the 28th minute of play forced Los Gallos's goalkeeper Anacleto Horado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AD Pontassolense's Juvenal Viveiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save AD Pontassolense from getting a goal against them. Anacleto Horado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Valério, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lei Yan Zhan hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. AD Pontassolense's Amável Bettencourt got his second yellow card of the match in the 43rd minute. The referee ordered Amável Bettencourt off the ground. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 50th minute, Guilherme Valério hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AD Pontassolense's Juvenal Viveiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Matthew in the 54th minute of play. When Veríssimo Gameiro fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AD Pontassolense's protests and gave Veríssimo Gameiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Veríssimo Gameiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herberto Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Anacleto Horado made a huge save. Lei Yan Zhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guilherme Valério hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute Lei Yan Zhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Viveiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juvenal Viveiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Matthew in the 83rd minute of the match. Juvenal Viveiros came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Los Gallos's Silverio Matthew. But to his dismay, Silverio Matthew quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Silverio Matthew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Herberto Meireles hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes AD Pontassolense got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Andrade. A collision led to Los Gallos getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Lei Yan Zhan hit a great ball. AD Pontassolense's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
