The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Mário Maradona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils Støle. A.C. Patagonia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Maradona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sylwester Sroka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Thommy Jadis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mário Maradona to make the kick off. A collision led to MINEIROS getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gil Arósio hit a great ball. Patagonia's Nils Støle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bon Čáp in the 94th minute of play. In the 97thth minute of the game Ervigio Ojeda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MINEIROS's Thommy Jadis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. MINEIROS succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though A.C. Patagonia had controlled the match.
