Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Yan Koban kicked off to start the match. Paulo Queiroz was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Toninho Goiano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Toninho Goiano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Paulo Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Albuquerque in the 14th minute of play. Cheito Molek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serginho Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Limoeiro-PE FC were awarded a corner. Júnior Galego went to the cornerflag to take it. Paulo Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Quadros in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Júnior Galego got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serginho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Galego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Limoeiro-PE FC's Paulo Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Albuquerque in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Limoeiro-PE FC's Júnior Galego got a free kick in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toninho Goiano got free with Paulo Queiroz in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Galego in the 34th minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Serginho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Júnior Galego had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serginho Taffarel. MINEIROS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júnior Galego was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Toninho Goiano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Paulo Queiroz 42 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

53 minutes into the game, MINEIROS's Joel Quadros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Queiroz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After 56 played minutes Limoeiro-PE FC got a freekick which was hit by Renzo Spadafora. In the 57th minute Hugo Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Goiano came free, but Paulo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maicon Quintal to maneuver through the defense. When Walmir Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Limoeiro-PE FC's protests and gave Walmir Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Walmir Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MINEIROS's Benê Amorim was substituted for Maicon Quintal. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's Silvinho Brodel got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Joel Quadros put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo Queiroz. Cheito Molek kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Christian Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Celsinho Alagoano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limoeiro-PE FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MINEIROS the free kick. MINEIROS's Naldo Baiano was substituted for Toninho Goiano. The supporters of MINEIROS booed when Limoeiro-PE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Albuquerque came free, but Paulo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MINEIROS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
