Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Toninho Goiano kicked off to start the match. ✪ XV de Umarizal's Paulo Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Albuquerque in the 4th minute of play. After 6 played minutes ✪ XV de Umarizal got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Vides. With a little luck, ✪ XV de Umarizal's Paulo Quadros got control of the ball when Hugo Albuquerque tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Joel Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th match minute, ✪ XV de Umarizal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. MINEIROS's Toninho Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 played minutes MINEIROS got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Albuquerque. Lucas Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, ✪ XV de Umarizal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Moura to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ✪ XV de Umarizal's João Nascimento got a free kick in the 18th minute. Hugo Albuquerque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Paulo Quadros made a huge save. When Wellington Ratov came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the ✪ XV de Umarizal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wellington Ratov couldn't finish the play. Christian Fernandes hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Nestor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Wellington Ratov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joel Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serginho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Nestor, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Paulo Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Albuquerque in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wellington Ratov made a kick off. Toninho Goiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Quadros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, ✪ XV de Umarizal's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Goiano came free, but Paulo Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toninho Goiano in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Quadros saved ✪ XV de Umarizal from getting behind. Paulo Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. MINEIROS made a substitution. Maicon Quintal replaced Benê Amorim. In the 73rd minute, João Vítor Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ✪ XV de Umarizal booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in MINEIROS's zone, Rodrigo Nestor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serginho Taffarel came out of the goal and Rodrigo Nestor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute Maicon Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When MINEIROS's Toninho Goiano in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ✪ XV de Umarizal's goalie prevented a goal. In the 87th minute Hugo Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serginho Taffarel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rodrigo Nestor showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 91 minute of play. The ✪ XV de Umarizal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ✪ XV de Umarizal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
