With a little luck, Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais got control of the ball when Marcus Talló tried to sneak it across the goal line. Prospero Gabirel made in the 15th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Maximo Dei however managed to control. Egun Pais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavino Raymundo in the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Floresta Negra FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gafur Dolunay hit a great ball. Egun Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Raymundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Estudiantes de América fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Marcos Ranolfo had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Andy Cole's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Andy Cole's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Ranolfo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Andy Cole might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Ranolfo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andy Cole ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Ranolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 37 in the game by Concetto Trasatti from a close distance when the talented Egun Pais managed to make a qualified save. Floresta Negra FC's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de América's zone, Andy Cole stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Ranolfo came out of the goal and Andy Cole tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Prospero Gabirel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Egun Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Raymundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute Gavino Raymundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andy Cole was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the game Ciro Pirro made a throw-in which Gavino Raymundo played forward. 54 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Talló came free, but Egun Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andy Cole in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Ranolfo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Marcos Ranolfo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Egun Pais came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de América's Gavino Raymundo. But to his dismay, Gavino Raymundo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Estudiantes de América's Nilmar Marinho was substituted for Concetto Trasatti. Estudiantes de América's Roland Cervantez was substituted for Gavino Raymundo. Floresta Negra FC's attentive Clemente Moura managed to snatch the ball when Prospero Gabirel made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Marcos Ranolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute Nilmar Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Cervantez came free, but Egun Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estudiantes de América's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
