Seating: 1184, VIP seats: 103) Norman Allado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Aslam Saeed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norman Allado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeeshan ur-Rehamn's late challenge caught a U21 Philippines's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeeshan ur-Rehamn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, U21 Pakistan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeeshan ur-Rehamn to maneuver through the defense. Aslam Saeed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Subili in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of U21 Philippines booed when U21 Pakistan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakim Basharat didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for U21 Philippines! The goalkeeper, Irvin Macandog, was totally fooled by U21 Pakistan's Razzaq Ibrahim, who 21 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Philippines's zone, Nawaz Saeed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irvin Macandog came out of the goal and Nawaz Saeed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aslam Saeed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Subili in the 30th minute of play. When Shamshad Khwaja fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Pakistan's protests and gave Shamshad Khwaja a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of U21 Philippines booed when U21 Pakistan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shamshad Khwaja didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Pakistan's Inzamam Kaleem got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to U21 Philippines getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Daniel Gabuat hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, U21 Philippines's goalkeeper Irvin Macandog had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inzamam Kaleem. If Nawaz Saeed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

U21 Philippines's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Razzaq Ibrahim ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hakim Basharat got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 68th match minute, U21 Pakistan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakim Basharat to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes U21 Philippines got a freekick which was hit by Dawang Monfort. After some careless play in the U21 Philippines defense, Nawaz Saeed kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Irvin Macandog. The U21 Philippines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Irvin Macandog should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, U21 Pakistan could leave the field as winners, despite U21 Philippines having more of the ball for most of the match.
