The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frutos Cubas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lando Ermua's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Bernard Lizarazu hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th match minute, Vanadio F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gipuzkoa Gante to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Tavio Prus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frutos Cubas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frutos Cubas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lando Ermua in the 16th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Fire Breathers FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Lizarazu. Frutos Cubas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Castells, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Isaac Landeribar hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Frutos Cubas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tavio Prus in the 28th minute of play. Frutos Cubas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Castells in the 30th minute of the match. Ikatz Noboa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Anacleto Terrilla skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Lando Ermua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vanadio F.C.'s Frutos Cubas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frutos Cubas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lando Ermua in the 38th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Osoitz Cascajares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frutos Cubas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Castells, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ikatz Noboa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Narciso Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vanadio F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fire Breathers FC the free kick. The supporters of Fire Breathers FC booed when Vanadio F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tavio Prus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fire Breathers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tavio Prus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frutos Cubas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Fire Breathers FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Niva Ason hit a great ball. Anacleto Terrilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ikatz Noboa went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Fire Breathers FC booed when Vanadio F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flor Rial didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osoitz Cascajares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frutos Cubas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Vanadio F.C.'s goalkeeper Frutos Cubas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cecilio Castells. After a rather tough play, Vanadio F.C.'s Polo Sebastian got a free kick in the 67th minute. Fire Breathers FC's Zenaido Ayerza was substituted for Cecilio Castells. A collision led to Vanadio F.C. getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Polo Sebastian hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, Fire Breathers FC's Lando Ermua nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frutos Cubas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Vanadio F.C.'s Frutos Cubas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Vanadio F.C. from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the match, Zenaido Ayerza notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Vanadio F.C.'s Frutos Cubas. Frutos Cubas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frutos Cubas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lando Ermua in the 86th minute. Jatsu Tixido hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Vanadio F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Hats Selgas. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Zenaido Ayerza sped through Vanadio F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frutos Cubas. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fire Breathers FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
