Celso Furtado was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Téo Ortiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Téo Ortiz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 17th minute Lucas Matias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bocapaulista's zone, Téo Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Furtado came out of the goal and Téo Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucas Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Celso Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Hernani Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Matias in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Matias in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Furtado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celso Furtado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olívio da Fonseca went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Bocapaulista's Betão Baptista got a free kick in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lucas Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Matias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Furtado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lucas Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Lucas Matias notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Bocapaulista's Celso Furtado. Celso Furtado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bocapaulista's Celso Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Saldanha in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Bocapaulista's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Matias came free, but Celso Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the São Paulo FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
